Brodie ready for school

If five-year-old Brodie Page was nervous about his first day at school yesterday, he wasn't showing it.

Despite the rain, at 7am yesterday the Page household was the scene of activity as Brodie prepared for his first day at St Laurence's Parish School.

By 8am Brodie was dressed in his new uniform, uhrenwatchesstorebackpackfactory had his new shark face school bag packed and had his lunch box filled with goodies.canadagoosesalecheap

Brodie is the third of Dale and Verity Page's children to go to school and according to mum, coolerbagfactory yesterday was an exciting day for Brodie.

"I'm excited for him," Verity said.

"I said to Brodie that if anyone else [in the class] is upset, tell them that their mum or dad will be back to get them and not to be sad or upset."

Although little brother Isaac was tearful about the change in routine and loss of his bigger playmate, older brothers Jade and Hayden were more than happy to make sure Brodie's shoe laces were tied up and everything was ready.canadagooseparkajackets

Jade also returned to St Laurence's Parish School yesterday, while Hayden is set to start secondary school at Red Bend Catholic College today.

Around 120 children will start kindergarten at Forbes primary schools this week, with 767,000 students starting back at NSW public schools this year.
