My favourite part of the show is the way that Van De Elzen measures success: by trying to provide cheaper alternatives in less time, and using sales to gauge whether his food has been a hit.
Last night was a failure - mostly because the Food Truck was at the end of a long line of Chinese food stalls - but it was still highly entertaining. Besides, the food was probably better appreciated at Auckland City Mission anyway. That was a classy move, donating the meals.
Unrelated, but I also have to wonder why other retailers would be involved. For example, during last week's episode Hell Pizza allowed Van De Elzen to hang out in one of their restaurants and observe their methods. This was immediately followed by the chef making cheaper pizzas with gourmet ingredients that he was able to make in less time than the larger chain took. While I'm sure the show won't affect Hell Pizza's bottom line, I do have to wonder why,fakerolexwatchesonline for sale wholesaler of Great Discovery ! if it's possible to make cheaper, healthier pizzas, the larger chains aren't doing it already.
